Cartier: Style and History

Overshadowed by the fame of the name and the sparkle of diamonds, the complex and abundant history of the great jewelry house is still too little known. Yet Cartier has played a very important role in the history of decorative arts.

The creations, the classicism of "jeweler of kings" for radical inventions of the modern style, between geometry and exotic, offer an exciting account of the evolution of taste and social codes. Jewelry, watches, objects as practical and refined has attracted some of the most stylish personalities of the twentieth century.
